The Setting:

It is the night of the monthly office party at Enrob Enterprises – an enormous international corporation based in Reno, Nevada which specializes in geothermal energy production, steel manufacturing, shipping and freighting, petrochemicals, and even a chain of Las Vegas casinos.  Enrob was built on a foundation of greed, lies and corrupt business practices prevalent in almost every aspect of its structure.  And once allegations against Enrob began to surface, the company that was once called the “most innovative company in America” began to crumble like a house of cards. Despite the oncoming doom, the Enrob directors decided not to cancel this month’s employee office party, and instead maintain the façade that Enrob is going to pull through this crisis.  But as more corruption is exposed, people are scrambling to take whatever they can from this sinking ship and escape unscathed – backstabbing and betrayal are inevitable. Consider everyone a suspect and ask your questions thoroughly.  The criminal will be implicated in three ways: A motive, weapon, and opportunity. Many players will have two of these things but only one of them will have all three. For the best results concentrate your questions in these three areas. Everyone must tell the truth except for the criminal. He or she is the only person who can lie.

 The Crime:

Later in the evening, Jefferson Shilling, the CEO of Enrob gathered his closest friends and business associates into the break room for an impromptu toast to the “success” of Enrob.  Suddenly, the lights suddenly went out and a loud bang was heard.  Moments later, the collapsed body of Jefferson Shilling was found on the ground while a punctured water cooler leaked all over the floor.  He was pronounced dead from a gunshot wound.  One of you is the criminal and the rest of you need to find out who it was.  When you have found someone with a motive, access to a gun, and was near the break room, then you may have found the true culprit.
